Privacy Policy

General information:

The Controller – SIA TIAMO GRUPA, unified registration No. 42103029977, in processing personal data, complies with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation No. 2016/679 (hereinafter – the Regulation), as well as other requirements laid down in the laws and regulations in force in the Republic of Latvia.

The Privacy Policy explains how the Controller processes personal data, the procedure for exercising the rights of the data subject, and issues related to the protection of personal data. The Controller's Privacy Policy applies to all personal data processing carried out by the Controller.

Purposes of the processing of personal data:

The purposes of the processing of personal data carried out by the Controller are related to the functions of the Controller.

The Controller processes personal data mainly for the following purposes:

  • Human Resource management;
  • Preparation and conclusion of transactions, introducing necessary changes and amendments;
  • Bookkeeping;
  • Examination and resolution of claims, management of legal claims;
  • Dissemination of news;
  • Video surveillance – For the prevention, control, and detection of criminal offences

The Controller does not process special categories of personal data, except in certain cases relating to health insurance or investigation of accidents at work.

Video surveillance

The Controller carries out video surveillance in the office building and in its structural units – catering facilities, the information about which is posted in the form of warning signs outside the video surveillance area.

Legal grounds for the processing of personal data:

The Controller processes personal data on the following legal grounds:

  • Consent of data subject
  • For the purpose of concluding or performing a contract
  • Performance of a legal obligation imposed by a regulatory act
  • Ensuring legitimate interests

Right to withdraw consent of the data subject:

Where the processing of personal data has been initiated and is carried out in accordance with the consent of the data subject, the data subject shall have the right to withdraw that consent.

Withdrawal of consent shall not affect the processing of data carried out at the time when the customer’s consent was valid.

Withdrawal of consent may not interrupt the processing of data carried out on the basis of other legal grounds.

Duration of storage of personal data:

The period of storage of personal data held by the Controller is as follows:

Recruitment data – 3 months

Employee data – 75 years

Customer/partner data – 10 years after the termination of cooperation

Video surveillance – up to 30 days;

Correspondence, applications received, claims – 10 years

Accounting data – 5 years

Cookies:

Cookies are text files that are stored in the browser of a website user's computer to improve the performance of a website. The cookies stored allow us to recognise your computer. By revisiting the Controller's website and using the password-protected sections of the website, cookies allow you to avoid re-entering data.

Why does the Controller use cookies?

The Controller uses cookies for the following purposes:

  • session management and user authentication
  • to ensure website functionality
  • to obtain statistical data about the website traffic: number of visitors, time spent on the website
  • to improve the efficiency of the website

The server hosting the Controller's website records the requests sent by the website visitor (web addresses opened, device and browser used, IP address, time of access). This data is used for technical purposes only: to ensure the proper functioning and security of the website. The legal grounds for the processing of this personal data are the legitimate interest of the Controller.

The Controller does not use cookies to track user behaviour, therefore the Controller is informing you about the use of cookies, but does not require your consent to place cookies as required by law.

Third-party cookies:

The Controller's website may contain third-party cookies, in particular, Google Analytics.

The Google Analytics tool is provided by Google Inc. (a U.S. company), which has access to the statistical data collected by this tool. Google Inc. has subscribed to the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Principles, the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield List, which confirms that the provider complies with the privacy standards required by the EU.

Cookie control:

The data subject may delete cookies at his or her discretion (for more information, see www.AboutCookies.org and/or www.youronlinechoices.com/lv/).

You may delete any cookies already stored on your computer and you may disable cookies in your browser. In that case, however, you will have to specify your choices manually every time you visit the website, and some services and functions of the website may not work.

Recipients of personal data:

The Controller may transfer information to third parties in the cases provided by law. The Controller may also outsource services to ensure more efficient performance of its functions.

Personal data is not transferred to third countries.

Access to personal data and other rights of the data subject:

To obtain information about the personal data that the Controller is processing about you, you must submit an application.

The application should be addressed to the Controller's officer responsible for the protection of personal data; the application should be sent to the following address: Zemnieku iela 32, Liepāja, LV3401, e-mail: [email protected].

The data subject has the right to request the erasure of personal data, the restriction of the processing of personal data, to object to the processing of personal data, and to request the rectification of personal data in accordance with the provisions of the Regulation.

The Controller shall communicate with the data subject using the contact details (telephone number, e-mail address, address) provided by the data subject.

If you feel that your right to the protection of personal data has been violated, you may file a complaint with the personal data supervisory authority of your place of residence.

This document shall be effective as of 25 May 2018.
